Terms of Service

My School App (“we”, “us”, “the Platform”) provides school management software for schools, teachers, administrators, and related users. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

1. Eligibility and account registration

• You must have authority to register and operate a school account on behalf of your organisation.
• You agree to provide accurate registration details and to keep login credentials secure.
• School accounts may require Platform approval before full access is granted.

2. Acceptable use

• Use the Platform only for lawful school administration and related educational purposes.
• Do not attempt to access other schools’ data, disrupt the service, reverse-engineer the software, or misuse SMS, email, payments, or other modules.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of student, staff, fee, exam, and other records you enter.

3. School data and responsibility

• Your school remains the controller of its student, parent, staff, and fee data.
• You must obtain any consents required by local law before collecting or processing personal data (including photos, attendance, and contact details).
• You are responsible for how staff accounts are assigned and for actions taken under those accounts.

4. Subscriptions, fees, and payments

• Some features require a paid subscription or per-use payment (for example report cards or SMS).
• Fees, billing periods, and unlock rules are shown in the Platform at the time of purchase.
• Payment processors (such as Paystack or mobile money partners) have their own terms for card or wallet transactions.

5. Service availability

• We aim to keep the Platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
• We may update features, perform maintenance, or suspend access for security, abuse, non-payment, or legal reasons.

6. Intellectual property

• The Platform software, branding, and documentation remain our property (or our licensors’).
• You retain rights to the content and data your school uploads, subject to the licence needed for us to host and process it to provide the service.

7. Limitation of liability

• The Platform is provided on an “as available” basis for school operations support.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made solely on Platform outputs (marks, ranks, bills, attendance, and similar).
• Schools remain responsible for official academic, financial, and safeguarding decisions.

8. Termination

• You may stop using the Platform at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, remain unpaid where payment is required, or create security or legal risk.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes may also be highlighted in the Platform or by notice to school administrators.
